Blog post:3: progress
What I have done so far in this 20 time project is I have done research about the things I need to know when in the airport, different country, or wherever. I have looked at English and Spanish articles. I have found that Spanish articles are more helpful, and to be honest I never really thought of reading articles about traveling... so thank you for that suggestion! Also comparing the two was also helpful, because it gave even more information and I found which one was more accurate. I have started working and in May I will start doing my trips. I have planned that they will be short trips and I am totally okay with that because I can't miss much of school. I have also started working and saving all of that money up for the trip. I am exited to see how this goes and the things I will learn along the way. I have done this in the past but with my sister. This time I will probably be doing it alone.

Checking in
Anita:
What a PERFECT idea for you! I did the same thing when I was in high school. My family didn't travel but I always wanted to and the only reason I got a job was so I could leave. I can't wait to hear more. Here is a suggestion as you look at resources: Lonely Planet is a great travel resource, also airbnb is cool too (you have to be 18+ but it would be a cool place to start). Good luck!

20 time questions, Anita
What is the problem? How much money would be spent and on what? (ex; food, hospitality, plane ticket, etc...)
Who is affected by this problem? Who are people who will matter?
What are potential solutions to this problem or ways to prevent it?
When is this going to happen?
How often is this going to happen?

week 1, Anita
My idea for the 20 time project is to travel. Whether it be inside Iowa or outside for example the states or even outside the country. I know this is something that some people can't do for many reasons but I am fortunate enough to have the opportunity to do this. I have sat down with my parents to talk about this and they said that they would help me in whatever they can. They said that I have to get a job and I would have to pay half for everything. We didn't really talk about who I would travel with but I'm sure they trust me. I mean, I have been to Guatemala by myself of course with my family but they trust me, they let me go places and obviously my safety is their concern but I wouldn't go to places that have high crime rate. I came up with this idea because I LOVE traveling, it's something that I love to do. I love to learn about the culture and history and other stuff like that. So far I have applied at places and had an interview on Saturday. On Friday I will go online and find inexpensive places to travel, but also cool places. So affordable but cool places to go see. Find tips and stuff like that and jot them down.
